Music Training

Suzuki and AMEB syllabi as well as original arrangements and compositions


Since 1993, Bryson has:

  • taught school age students (primary and secondary) and adults the cello and the violin,
  • taught individual and group lessons both privately and in schools in Queensland, the Northern Territory, and the Australian Capital Territory, and
  • directed school music programs that have included
    • conducting school ensembles, orchestras and choirs, and
    • organising and facilitating student participation in regional eisteddfods for soloists, chamber groups and choirs,
    • planning and managing school music group excursions and inter-state performance tours.

    In the normal course of teaching, Bryson creates and uses an extensive range of resources and combines them with:

    • individual lessons,
    • group practices,
    • experiences with a range of other instruments,
    • multimedia resources to assist the student (and parent) during lessons and during practice at home, and
    • games and other activities designed to enhance the student’s enjoyment in learning a musical instrument.
